We just got our hands on Nokia’s first Windows Phone smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 800, so we thought we would share some photos of the device along with our first impressions of the Lumia 800.
The Nokia Lumia 800 is one of the coolest looking Windows Phone smartphones we have seen so far, and it shares a very similar design to the original Nokia N9. It comes with a 3.7 inch AMOLED display, which looks very crisp and sharp from what we have seen so far. The AMOLED technology ensures vibrant colors and deep blacks, making the display quite impressive for media consumption and general use.
Performance and Camera
Other specifications include a single-core 1.4GHz processor. Although single-core processors are becoming less common in high-end smartphones, the device does seem pretty snappy from our initial use of it. The Windows Phone operating system is known for its efficiency, and it appears to run smoothly on the Lumia 800.
The Lumia 800 also features an 8-megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens. Carl Zeiss optics are renowned for their quality, and the camera on the Lumia 800 does not disappoint. Initial test shots show good color accuracy and detail, even in low-light conditions. The camera app is user-friendly, offering various modes and settings to help you capture the perfect shot.
Storage and Connectivity
The Lumia 800 features 16GB of built-in storage, which should be sufficient for most users. However, it is worth noting that the device does not support expandable storage via microSD cards. This could be a limitation for users who need more space for apps, photos, and videos.
In terms of connectivity, the Lumia 800 comes with WiFi and Bluetooth. The WiFi performance is robust, providing stable and fast internet connectivity. Bluetooth is also reliable, making it easy to connect to various peripherals such as headphones, speakers, and car systems.
We will be testing it out over the next week and will let you guys know what we think of it in our full review. The initial impressions are promising, and we are excited to explore more features and capabilities of this device. Have a look at the gallery below for more photos of the Nokia Lumia 800.
