Nokia has officially announced the Nokia E6, which is designed as a business smartphone and Nokia are obviously hoping to take on BlackBerry with this new QWERTY smartphone.
The Nokia E6 features a 2.46-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels, there is also 8GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot and a 1500 mAh battery.
The Nokia E6 offers Pentaband 2G/3G network support for world travellers and there is also integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, plus Bluetooth 3.0.
There is also an 8 megapixel full focus (EDOF) camera, with a dual LED flash, 2x digital zoom, 3x in videos, and it can record HD video in 720p.
Enhanced Business Features
The Nokia E6 is not just about hardware; it also comes with a suite of business applications that make it a strong contender in the business smartphone market. The device runs on the Symbian Anna operating system, which offers improved usability and a refreshed user interface. The E6 is preloaded with Microsoft Office Mobile, allowing users to view and edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents on the go. Additionally, the phone supports Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, ensuring seamless email synchronization and calendar management.
