If you are considering purchasing one of the new Nintendo Switch consoles or have already pre-ordered your system in preparation for its official launch on March 3rd, 2017.
You may be interested to know that Nintendo has this week confirmed the new and highly anticipated Nintendo Switch console will be compatible with Micro SDXC cards up to a maximum storage capacity of 2TB.
Future proofing the system and allowing users to easily upgrade the on-board storage if their budget will stretch. Currently the largest SDXC cards availablel hold 512GB of storage and retail for $200. Samsung-brand 256GB Micro SDXC cards are currently available to purchase between $150-200 via Amazon. The official statement from Nintendo reads :
Nintendo Switch is compatible with the SDXC standard, which supports up to 2TB. (Note that 2TB cards are not yet on the market, but the system will support them when they are.)
