We have been hearing rumors about Google’s next Nexus smartphone for some time, the device is said to either launch as the Google Nexus 6 or under a new Android Silver branding, and we have previously heard that LG would be making the device for Google.
According to a recent report, LG will not be making the Nexus 6 smartphone for Google, although the company makes the current Nexus 5 device, Google is apparently using another manufacturer for the next device.
An LG executive has apparently confirmed to DraadBreuk that LG are not making a new Android smartphone for Google, of course this could just be the LG executive denying that LG are making the device, when they are actually working on it.
We previously heard rumors that LG would be making an Android Silver device for Google, and they were said to be one of the first smartphone makers who are making devices under the new ‘Silver’ branding.
Another possibility is that there will be no more Nexus smartphones from Google this year, and instead of the Nexus 6 launching, the first Android Silver smartphone will launch, although we previously heard that these devices would land in 2015.
As soon as we get some more details on exactly what Google has planned for their next smartphone, whether it be the Nexus 6 or an Android Silver device, we will let you guys know.
