Google released the Android 7.0 Nougat update a few weeks back, and it has made its way to a few devices. Unfortunately, Nexus 6 owners are still waiting as there’s no word about its roll out.
Recently, the folks at Android Police contacted Google, and it seems Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE users have to wait a few more weeks for the update.
Some people were of the view that Google Nexus 6 will not get the Android 7.0 Nougat update, but it’s not correct. Google confirmed to Android Police that it will roll out, but the exact time frame for the update is not yet available. It may take a few more weeks or maybe months for the update to finally reach the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE.
It’s quite surprising as to why the update is delayed for so long for a Nexus device, but it’s quite likely that there are some loopholes which the company wants to fix before the operating system is rolled out for the general public.
We’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything more about the roll out of Android Nougat for Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE.
