Google purchased the awesome Quickoffice suite of software back in June of this year and has this month released a new update for their recently acquired application which brings with it enhanced support for Google Drive.
The new Google Quickoffice update enhanced the Google Drive integration by now making Google Docs, Sheets and Slides files will automatically open in the Drive app. When both Quickoffice and Google Drive applications are present on the same device.
The enhanced Google Drive support for users to enjoy follows all from a refresh which was rolled out to the application in September, when Google announced that the application will be available to all users for free and include a massive 10 GB Google Drive storage for users to enjoy.
The latest version of the free Quickoffice software suite can be download from the Google Play Store now. Google explains:
“This free app from Google lets you create and edit Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations on your Android phone and tablet. Sign in with your Google Account to save work in Google Drive, which gives you up to 15GB of free storage and lets you access your files from any mobile device or computer.”
