At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 event in Barcelona this week which runs from February 24th -27th, Omate the makers of the smartwatch which took Kickstarter by storm raising over a million in pledges, has today unveiled their new Omate TrueSmart Elegance Smartwatch.
The Omate TrueSmart Elegance Smartwatch is slightly different to other smartwatch’s on the market at the current time in that it allows you to make phone calls directly from your wrist.
The next-generation Omate TrueSmart Elegance Smartwatch is now 30 percent lighter than the previous model and is also available in a range of colours including black, ping or bronze. The latest Omate TrueSmart Elegance Smartwatch is currently in its final development stages and has already had a number of tests carried out at the FCC.
“Introducing the Omate TrueSmart Elegance – Aluminum Series at Mobile World Congress. The Elegance is running the same hardware as the Extreme Edition but is 30% lighter than the original Stainless Steel Omate TrueSmart. Black / Pink Gum / Bronze White”
However initial Kickstarter backers who still haven’t received the version of the original Omate TrueSmart are not surprisingly a little disgruntled that Omate seems to be concentrating on next-generation hardware before they have fulfilled all the Kickstarter pledges for the previous model.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the new Omate TrueSmart Elegance Smartwatch, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
