Yesterday we saw a press render of the new LG G7 ThinQ and now the handset has been certified in Russia along with another new handset, the LG Q7.
The handset has recently been certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the listing has confirmed that both handsets will come with Android 8.1 Oreo. This certification is a crucial step for LG as it indicates that the devices are ready for release in the Russian market, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
Display and Performance
We previously heard that the LG G7 ThinQ would come with a 6-inch LCD display featuring a QHD+ resolution of 3120 x 1400 pixels. This high-resolution display is expected to deliver vibrant colors and sharp images, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming. The device will also come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is one of the most powerful processors available for smartphones, ensuring smooth performance and efficient multitasking.
The handset will be available in two variants: one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and another with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This flexibility allows users to choose a model that best suits their needs, whether they require more memory for intensive applications or additional storage for media files.
Camera and Battery
Other specifications on the handset will include three high-end cameras. On the back, there will be two 16-megapixel cameras. These dual cameras are expected to offer advanced photography features such as optical zoom, portrait mode, and enhanced low-light performance. The front camera is also anticipated to be of high quality, catering to the growing trend of selfies and video calls.
The device will come with a 3000 mAh battery, which should provide a full day of usage on a single charge. Additionally, the LG G7 ThinQ is likely to support fast charging and possibly wireless charging, making it convenient for users to keep their device powered throughout the day.
Additional Features and Launch Event
LG is known for incorporating innovative features into their smartphones, and the G7 ThinQ is expected to be no different. Rumors suggest that the device may include AI-powered functionalities, enhancing user experience through intelligent software that adapts to individual usage patterns. The handset might also come with an improved audio system, possibly featuring a Hi-Fi Quad DAC for superior sound quality.
LG is holding a press event on the 2nd of May where the handset will be officially announced. This event will provide more detailed information about the device’s features, pricing, and availability. It will be interesting to see how the LG G7 ThinQ compares to other flagship smartphones released this year, such as the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the iPhone X.
The LG Q7, which was also certified alongside the G7 ThinQ, is expected to be a more budget-friendly option. While details about the Q7 are still scarce, it is likely to feature a slightly smaller display and less powerful hardware compared to the G7 ThinQ. However, it will still run on Android 8.1 Oreo and offer a solid performance for everyday tasks.
The certification of the LG G7 ThinQ and LG Q7 by the Eurasian Economic Commission marks an important milestone for LG. With their official announcement just around the corner, these devices are poised to make a significant impact in the smartphone market. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch event.
