It looks like Amazon may have a new Kindle Fire HD on the way as they have dropped the price of the existing 7 inch model in the US from $199 to $159.
This could mean that Amazon are clearing their inventory to make room for an updated Kindle Fire HD, and we previously heard that Amazon may be working on a new 7 inch device with a higher resolution display.
The existing Kindle fire HD features a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and the new model is expected to come with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
As yet we do not have any more details on what other specifications the new Kindle Fire HD will come with, although we suspect it will feature an updated processor and more RAM.
