Windows 8 users that have been patiently waiting for an alternative browser to use other than Windows Explorer that also supports touch gestures. Will be pleased to learn the Mozilla is planning on launching its new Firefox Metro browser in December of this year.
Mozilla first announced the development of their new gesture supporting Firefox Metro back in March 2012 and since then has been busy perfecting its mechanics and navigation features to run on Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system, and the soon to be released Windows 8.1 update that will be arriving on October 17th.

Mozilla first announced the development of their new gesture supporting Firefox Metro back in March 2012 and since then has been busy perfecting its mechanics and navigation features to run on Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system, and the soon to be released Windows 8.1 update that will be arriving on October 17th.
In the final release of the new Firefox Metro browser Mozilla developers are also launching their new Firefox app bar which allows users to have the tab bar at the top but moves the address field, reload button, bookmark star button, and other functions to the bottom.
Beta versions of the new Firefox Metro browser have been available for sometime but if you haven’t already given it a try and would like to install Firefox Metro to use alongside or instead of Windows Explorer. You can already test a special version of Firefox (Firefox Nightly) which comes with a Metro-style version of Firefox browser specifically designed from the ground up to work with touch and gestures within Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system.
