We have seen some gear from Motz before and the stuff all has one thing in common – it’s made from wood. The latest offering from Motz is a new portable speaker that will work with the iPhone, iPod, and other sources. The speaker is called the Motz Tiny Wooden Power Speaker.
The description of the product is a bit wonky in a few places, it seems that the internal battery of the speaker can be used to charge USB devices that are plugged into the USB port, the description says, “Built-in rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery. You can always use port charges.” The speaker also has a SD card slot for direct playback of digital tracks.
It also has an integrated FM tuner with a built-in antenna. The internal battery is an 1100mAh lithium-polymer unit that takes three hours to charge. It will also about 10 hours using headphones and about 5 hours used as a speaker. You can order yours up now for $59.99 and the speaker case is made from apricot wood.
