The other day we saw a leaked photo of the new Motorola Moto X4 smartphone and also heard some specifications about the handset. Now, it looks like it will be made official later this month.
Motorola has sent out press invites to an event which will take place in New York on the 25th of July. While the company did not reveal what will be announced, there is a good chance it will be the new Moto X4.
Specifications and Features
As we mentioned previously, the Moto X4 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and 4GB of RAM. This combination is expected to provide a smooth and efficient performance, making it suitable for multitasking and running demanding applications. Additionally, the device will feature 64GB of internal storage, which should be ample for most users. For those who need more space, it is likely that the Moto X4 will support expandable storage via a microSD card.
The handset will sport a 5.2-inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This resolution should offer sharp and vibrant visuals, making it ideal for watching videos, playing games, and browsing the web. The screen size is also quite manageable, making the device comfortable to hold and use with one hand.
Battery and Camera
The Moto X4 will come equipped with a 3000 mAh battery, which should provide a decent amount of usage time on a single charge. With the power-efficient Snapdragon 630 processor, users can expect good battery life, even with moderate to heavy usage. Additionally, the device is likely to support fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up the battery when needed.
One of the standout features of the Moto X4 is its camera setup. On the back of the device, there will be dual cameras, consisting of one 8-megapixel camera and one 12-megapixel camera. This dual-camera system is expected to offer enhanced photography capabilities, such as improved low-light performance, better depth-of-field effects, and more versatile shooting options. On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel camera, which should be perfect for high-quality selfies and video calls.
The device will come with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. This version of Android offers a range of features and improvements, including better multitasking, enhanced notifications, and improved battery management. Users can also expect a clean and user-friendly interface, as Motorola is known for providing a near-stock Android experience.
Additional Features and Expectations
In addition to the core specifications, the Moto X4 is expected to come with a range of additional features that will enhance the overall user experience. For instance, the device is likely to include a fingerprint sensor for added security and convenience. This sensor will allow users to quickly unlock their device and authenticate payments with just a touch.
Another feature that may be included is water and dust resistance. This would make the Moto X4 more durable and suitable for use in various environments. With an IP68 rating, the device could withstand being submerged in water for a certain period, providing peace of mind for users who are often on the go.
Moreover, the Moto X4 is expected to support various connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. These connectivity features will ensure that users can stay connected and enjoy fast data speeds, seamless wireless connections, and convenient mobile payments.
Overall, the Moto X4 is shaping up to be a well-rounded and feature-rich smartphone that caters to a wide range of users. With its powerful processor, ample RAM, impressive camera setup, and additional features, it is likely to be a popular choice in the mid-range smartphone market.
