Motorola had previously said that its Moto G4 range of handsets would get the Android 8.0 Oreo update. Now it would appear that the company has changed their mind. Last week we saw a list of Motorola devices that are scheduled to get the update, the G4 was not on the list.
A number of people have posted on Reddit about Motorola previously confirming that the update is coming to the G4 and now the company appears to be backtracking on what it said previously.
According to Android Police, Motorola confirmed previously on a number of occasions that the Moto G4 smartphones would get the Android 8.0 Oreo software update.
