Motorola has made its name in the smartphone industry, and also managed to work with Google on the latest Google Nexus 6.
As far as the tablets are concerned, it seems Motorola has no plans what so ever to enter the tablet market, as its parent company, Lenovo, already has a decent portfolio when it comes to tablets.
Motorola’s Rick Osterlog took it to Twitter, and said in response to a user that Motorola has no plans for tablets. Instead, he asked users to check Lenovo’s offerings if they are looking for a good tablet.
He said, “.@broota_sumer @Motorola On Tablets, we don’t have any plans, but @lenovo has lots of great offerings here (e.g., Yoga). #AskRickO”
Motorola did launch a few tablets back in 2011, but they weren’t too popular among the users. The company came back to its feet after being acquired by Google, and was later sold to Lenovo. The company was said to be testing some new tablets, but now, it seems those were just rumors.
What are your thoughts about this? Do you want to see Motorola launch a new tablet especially after its smartphone line up received its fair share of success?
