Motorola is rumored to be working on a number of handsets, including the successor of the highly popular Moto G, as well as the Moto X+1 which is said to launch in the coming weeks.
It’s not just these two devices, Motorola could be working on more devices. Recently, a “Moto Maxx” trademark was discovered on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s website, hinting at another handset which could be in the pipeline of Motorola.
The trademark was filed last month, and could be one of the non-Droid Maxx devices. This could also mean that we may see a Maxx handset which is not tied to Verizon — the previous Droid Maxx was tied to Verizon.
The “Maxx” handsets from Motorola are usually popular because of their huge battery capacity which offers a very decent battery time. So this could mean that we may see a Moto device which will come with a bigger battery when compared to the current Motorola product lineup, and may be one of its differentiating features.
It’s just pure speculation at the moment so a grain of salt is advised. There’s no word from Motorola about this, but we’ll update you as soon as we hear anything.
