Moto G, an affordable offering from Motorola, is already available in the US in unlocked flavor, as well as Verizon and Boost Mobile.
It seems another US carrier will add the Moto G to its roster. According to a new rumor, U.S. Cellular will launch the affordable Moto G on its network next week.
The folks at Android Central managed to get hold of a announcement date for the Motro G, which pegs its launch date to be February 10th. There’s no word about the pricing it will follow, but the handset is available for $179 from Motorola while Verizon is offering the handset for just $99. So, the price could lie in between these two, or a one similar to Verizon.
To refresh your memory, Moto G comes with a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 1GB of RAM, a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon SoC, 8/16GB storage options, a 2,070 mAh battery, and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean pre-installed out of the box. The handset has received the latest Android 4.4 KitKat in the US and other regions as well, Verizon version recently received the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
There’s no official word about its availability from U.S. Cellular, but we’ll update you as soon as they announce the Moto G.
