BIOSTAR A68MDE Micro-ATX FM2+ Motherboard

Anyone creating a custom home entertainment PC system may be interested in a new motherboard unveiled this month by BIOSTAR in the form of the entry-level A68MDE Micro-ATX FM2+ board which provides a number of options making it a possible solution for home entertainment setups. The A68MDE supports the previous generation AMD APUs supported by up to 32GB of DDR3 RAM.

Firstly the motherboard uses the smaller and widely compatible micro-ATX motherboard form factor and offers a built-in DVI connector and DirectX 12 support. The features include fast data transfers at 5 Gbps with USB 3.1 Gen 1 offering transfer speeds 10X faster than USB 2.0 components. The A68MDE supports 2 DDR3 memory up to 2600MHz in overclock. As well as a wide variety of features to offer protection ensuring longevity of the board.

Supporting DDR3 RAM the motherboard is perfect for those looking to build a rig on a budget when considering the currently inflated prices of DDR4 RAM. Connections on the BIOSTAR A68MDE motherboard include rear I/O ports have 1 x PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse, 2 x USB 3.1 Port, 1 x DVI-D Connector, 1 x VGA Port, 1 x RJ-45 Port and 3 x audio connector.
