After successfully launching via Kickstarter the development team behind the Mosaic Palette are now accepting pre-orders with shipping expected to take place during April 2016 and allows you to use your existing 3D printer and print objects in multiple materials or colours.
After raising more than $230,000 the team has been busy putting the final touches to its revolutionary 3D printing system that allows you to use multiple colours or filaments with ease. Watch the video below to learn more about how the system functions and can be added to almost any 3D printer on the market.
The Mosaic Palette Allows you to choose from four different printing filaments and easily combine them altogether to create multi-material or multi-coloured 3D prints. The development explain a little more:
The Palette lets you build an unprecedented range of creations on the 3D printer you already own. The ability to print with up to four colours, or materials with different properties, allows your printer to move beyond creating simple, single colour plastic objects. The Palette is powered by SEEM Technology (Series Enabled Extrusion of Materials); SEEM includes four internal modules, a software component, and an external sensor.
SEEM Technology lets you print with multiple filaments on your single extruder 3D printer, with no wires or other modifications. SEEM features an industry-first closed loop feedback system to ensure your print stays in calibration layer, after layer. If you can use a 3D printer, you can build high quality colour creations with The Palette. You can skip the upgrade cycle of buying an expensive printer, keep using your favourite slicer, and use whatever filament supplier you want!
