Now Samsung’s mobile CEO DJ Koh has revealed some more details about the handset.DJ Koh spoke to Cnet after unveiling the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphone at Mobile World Congress.
The Samsung foldable smartphone is rumored to be called the Samsung Galaxy X, according to DJ Koh the handset is not designed to be a gimmick and the company is working to make sure that the deice turns out to be a success.
“I need complete confidence that we’re delivering the best user experience when we’re launching a new category,” DJ Koh told Cnet at MWC 2018. This suggests that Samsung are intending the new Galaxy X to be part of their flagship mobile line up.
He was asked whether the handset will be launching this year and this is one question he did not answer about the handset. The company could launch the device before the end of 2018 or it may end up launching early next year. Samsung may end up revealing the handset at Mobile World Congress 2019 next February.
