Samsung announced their latest financial results early today, and we heard that the companies smartphone sales were down on the previous quarter, and it looks like Samsung will be looking to the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to boost sales.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has not been as popular as Samsung had hoped, and Samsung are now concentrating on the new Galaxy Note 4, according to recent reports.
We have heard various rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and now according to the Korean media, there will be two versions of the handset, one with a 5.7 inch flat OLED display, the other with a 5.7 inch curved OLED display.
Samsung Electro Mechanics Chief Financial Officer, Kwon Young-noh recently said that the ‘Samsung Note 4 will have far better specifications than the Galaxy S5 smartphone“. The company supplies camera modules to Samsung.
So far we have heard the the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be powered by a quad core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, there is also said to be a version of the handset with a new Samsung Exynos 5433 processor, which is thought to be Samsung’s first 64-bit mobile processor.
Other rumored specifications on thew new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 include at least 3GB of RAM, possibly 4GB, plus a 12 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization.
We are expecting the Galaxy Note 4 to launch at IFA 2014 in September, and there could also be a new Samsung Smartwatch alongside the Note 4.
