Starslider is not only a camera gear but also an entire ecosystem of professional video equipment. Our goal was to realize the perfect bundle, capable of satisfying any videomaker’s needs in terms of camera movements: from a simple manual control to triple motorization control. It enables you to produce complex shootings or timelapse easily, thanks to the simplest remote control you already have in the pocket: your smartphone!
We design several solutions to provide easy plug of each element. In order to construct any specific set, every module is match-able mutually with the others in various way. The V shape of our connection systems is the best way to eliminate any backlash, resulting in a unique solid piece that allows impeccably smooth movements.
Timelapse mode allows you to set the transition – the same way of Presets – using pictures instead video recordings. The Control Unit can communicate directly with your camera thanks to the universal shutter release cable, and you can set everything you need on your device. The Preset Control allows you to set multiple key-frames at different positions of the camera. Our algorythm calculates the interpolation and does the rest: it makes the transition smooth and guarantees fluid dynamics from the start to the end.
Live motion allows you to control real time moving three axes at different speeds and accelerations. If you want to accurately design your shot you have to meet Starslider Preset Control. You can save and reload the same transition to shot it again in the same or different situations. The control unit is the brain and the heart of the project. The power source is a battery with a standard V-lock adapter or a generic power supply. There are 3 output ports (12v, 7.2v, 5v) to feed your device, monitor, or other tools; 4 Ethernet connections to control the motors, and an intervalometer plug to control timelapse.
