Xbox One gamers that enjoyed the first episode of the Minecraft: Story Mode will be pleased to know that the second episode is now available for Xbox and can be purchased separately or as part of the complete season.
The episodic Minecraft: Story Mode game consists of five different episodes and allows you to play as Jesse as you embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond.
Gameplay and Storyline
In Minecraft: Story Mode, players take on the role of Jesse, who can be customized as either male or female. Jesse and their group of friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon. The game is set in the Minecraft universe but introduces a narrative-driven experience that is different from the traditional sandbox gameplay of the original Minecraft game.
While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, you and your friends discover that something is wrong… something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and you must set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone if you are to save your world from oblivion. The storyline is rich with twists and turns, and players must make critical decisions that affect the outcome of the game. This adds a layer of depth and replayability, as different choices can lead to different paths and endings.
Episode 2: Assembly Required
The second episode, titled “Assembly Required,” continues the thrilling adventure. In this episode, Jesse and their friends must seek out the remaining members of the Order of the Stone to help combat the new threat. The journey takes them through various biomes and introduces new characters and challenges. Players will need to use their wits and skills to navigate through dangerous environments and solve puzzles.
One of the highlights of Episode 2 is the introduction of more complex moral choices. These decisions not only affect the immediate storyline but also have long-term consequences that can impact future episodes. This episodic structure keeps players engaged and eager to see how their choices will unfold in subsequent episodes.
