Microsoft has announced that it will recall some power cables for their Surface Pro tablet due to potential overheating issues with the cables.
The problem is with older versions of the Microsoft Pro tablet, you can see what the company had to say about the recall below.
“As a result of damage caused by AC power cords being wound too tightly, twisted or pinched over an extended period of time, a very small proportion of Surface Pro customers have reported issues with their AC power cord. We will be releasing details of how customers can obtain a free replacement cable shortly,” a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to me today via e-mail.
The recall apparently applies to models of the Surface Pro Tablet before the Surface Pro 4, which was launched last year, it does not affect other no Pro models of
