Microsoft has today confirmed that they will be launching their new Microsoft Surface Windows tablet on October 26th 2012. The date was revealed in Microsoft’s annual report, which announced that their new Surface Windows Tablet will be arriving alongside the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft’s latest operating system.
Microsoft’s annual report was filed this week with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, explained:
“The next version of our operating system, Windows 8, will be generally available on October 26, 2012. At that time, we will begin selling the Surface, a series of Microsoft-designed and manufactured hardware devices,”
Microsoft will be launching two versions of its Surface tablet, a version running Windows RT using ARM processors and an Intel based Surface Pro version running Windows 8 Pro, which is expected to arrive around 90 days later after the October 26th Microsoft Surface launch date.
