Mobile payments are becoming more and more popular, Apple has Apple Pay and Samsung is launching Samsung Pay later this year and now it looks like there is a new Microsoft Pay in the works.
According to a recent report, Microsoft has plans to launch an Apple Pay competitor which could end up being called Microsoft Pay.
The news comes in a report from Faisal Khan who has discovered that Microsoft has setup a new company in the US, Microsoft Payments Inc.
Microsoft Payments Inc has recently been granted a license by the State of Idaho Department of Finance for money transmission, this basically means that Microsoft can now offer a payments service like Microsoft Pay.
Of course there are no details from Microsoft as yet on whether they intend to launch a new mobile payments system, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
