It has been reported this week that Micro Center is now selling a WinBook TW70CA-17 Windows tablets for just $60 making the device now cheaper than the HP Stream 7 or Toshiba Encore Mini tablets that are priced around $100.
As you might expect for $60 you don’t get fantastic specifications but WinBook TW70CA-17 is equipped with a 7 inch 5-point capacitive touchscreen IPS LCD display offering a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel.
The Windows 8.1 tablet is powered by a Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core Bay Trail processor supported by supported by 1GB of RAM and is equipped with 16GB of internal storage.
Other features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity a micro HDMI port, micro USB port, a full-sized USB 2.0 port, together with a microSD card slot. The only down side to the offer is that you have to pick-up the device in stores throughout the US as Micro Center will not ship the tablets to you.
The Micro Center also selling the 8 inch WinBook TW800 Windows tablet for $100, and a slightly more powerful WinBook TW801 that is fitted with more RAM and storage for $140 but don’t delay as at those prices you can’t expect Windows tablets stocks to remain high for long.
