As well as announcing the launch later this year of the second generation Mattel VR View-Master 2.0 smartphone virtual reality viewing headset. Mattel has also announced and unveiled a new 3D printer has created for families called ThingMaker.
The Mattel ThingMaker 3D printer comes with its own custom tablet application that supports both Android and iOS devices and offers families a wide range of different toys and designs that can be manufactured and created using the 3D printing system and application at home.
Mattel explains a little more about the ThingMaker 3D printer that will be launching alongside the View-Master 2.0 during the fall 2016 and will be priced at $300, and includes several family focused safety features Including automated door lock, and a retracting printhead to keep the heated head out of the way of little fingers.
