Mammoth Sound MDK Smartphone Mobile Drum Kit

Drummers looking for a small portable system that can be directly connected to your smartphone, tablet or computer and enables you to play, record and jam on the move, may be interested in the Mammoth Sound MDK.

The pocket -sized drum kit consists of two left and right velocity sensitive pads, two 3.5mm trigger inputs for foot triggers, hi-hat control, or additional pads, and a standard size USB output. the hardware is compatible with most android and iOS music applications as well as supporting the desktop music creation software DAW’s supporting MIDI.

Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Mammoth Sound MDK smartphone drum kit which is taken to Kickstarter this week to raise the $60,000 the development team require to take their concept into production. Pledges start from $99 for earlybird backers with shipping expected to take place during August 2017.

MDK Patent Pending design gives you the ability to play a basic drum kit including a bass drum, snare drum, and controllable (open/close) hi-hats. MDK utilizes Core MIDI technology, providing users the ability to trigger any sound or sample, while also making MDK compatible with most iOS and Android music apps, and desktop music creation software (DAW’s supporting MIDI).

To simplify use and guarantee you will always have the right cable, MDK utilizes a standard size USB slot, just like your devices power cable. Connect to your phone,  tablet, or computer and start playing. Designed using Core MIDI technology, with MDK just plug and play! Compact and reliable, MDK is designed to help you start drumming outside of the garage. Plug-in a pair of headphones at your local coffee shop to work on your chops, or connect to a speaker and jam with friends!

With MDK we wanted to simplify electric drums by designing it to work with your existing devices. No need to haul around a bunch of bulky gear, MDK gives you the ability to jump in an uber with your phone in one pocket and MDK in the other!
