There are three versions of the iPhone X launching this year, one with a 6.1 inch LCD display and the other two with OLED displays.
Samsung was previously the sole supplier for OLED displays for last years iPhone X, this is changing this year. We heard recently that LG will also be supplying OLED displays to Apple for this years devices.
According to a recent report by Digitimes, LG will also be supplying Apple with LCD panels for this years entry level iPhone X.
Based on the contract, LG Display is expected to ship 3-4 million OLED panels as well as 20 million LCD smartphone panels to Apple in 2018, said the report, which added that LG Display will produce the OLED panels needed for the iPhone from its E6 6G fab in Paju.
Apple are expected to launch their 2018 iPhone X handsets some time in September, pricines for the entry level LCD model is expected to start at between $600 and $700.
