LG launched their Optimus G smartphone in the US, Canada, Korea and Japan at the end of last year, and now LG has announced the global roll out of the Optimus G 4G LTE to more than 50 markets around the world.
“As 4G LTE availability expands on a global scale, we will leverage our strong LTE technology and expertise to offer consumers the best 4G experience through our devices,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “With the latest Jelly Bean OS and improved software, Optimus G will make a strong case for the title of ultimate premium 4G LTE smartphone.”
The LG Optimus G features a quad core 1.5GHz Krait Snapdragon S4 processor, there is also 2GB of RAM and the handset comes with 4G LTE, plus a 4.7 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.
Other specifications on the LG Optimus G include an 8 megapixel rear camera for photos and video, plus a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat, plus a 2,100 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, USB 2.0, A-GPS, MHL and DLNA and NFC.
The LG G Optimus G will be available in Singapore at the end of January and then LG will continue rolling the device out to further markets, they did not give any specific details on when it would arrive in specific countries.
