We have been hearing a number of rumors about the new LG G6 smartphone and now it looks like we have an actual photo of the handset.
The picture above was posted online by The Verge and it shows the new display on the LG G6 which we heard about previously.
Display and Design
The LG G6 will come with a 5.7 inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and it will have a resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels and 564 pixels per inch. This new aspect ratio is designed to provide a more immersive viewing experience, making it ideal for watching videos and playing games. The display is expected to cover almost the entire front of the device, minimizing bezels and giving it a sleek, modern look.
In addition to the impressive display, the LG G6 is rumored to feature a metal and glass design, which will give it a premium feel. The device is also expected to be water and dust resistant, with an IP68 rating, making it more durable and suitable for various environments.
Performance and Cooling
LG previously revealed that they will be using heat pipes in the new LG G6 for cooling. Heat pipes are an advanced cooling technology that helps to dissipate heat more efficiently, ensuring that the device remains cool even during intensive tasks such as gaming or video streaming. This will help to improve the overall performance and longevity of the device.
It looks like the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor as Samsung is rumored to have an exclusive on the Snapdragon 835. The Snapdragon 821 is a powerful processor that offers excellent performance and efficiency, making it a great choice for a flagship device like the LG G6.
We are also expecting the handset to come with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. More RAM allows for better multitasking and smoother performance, especially when running multiple apps simultaneously. This will ensure that the LG G6 can handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.
Camera and Additional Features
The LG G6 will feature high-end cameras on the front and back. While specific details about the cameras have not been confirmed, it is expected that the device will come with a dual-camera setup on the back, similar to its predecessor, the LG G5. This setup will likely include a standard lens and a wide-angle lens, allowing users to capture more of the scene in their photos. The front-facing camera is also expected to be of high quality, making it perfect for selfies and video calls.
In addition to the impressive camera capabilities, the LG G6 is rumored to come with a range of other features that will enhance the user experience. These may include a fingerprint scanner for added security, wireless charging for convenience, and a large battery to ensure that the device can last all day on a single charge.
Launch and Availability
LG will apparently make their new flagship Android smartphone official at their Mobile World Congress press conference on the 26th of February. The Mobile World Congress is one of the biggest events in the tech industry, and it is the perfect platform for LG to showcase their latest innovation. Following the official announcement, the LG G6 is expected to be available for pre-order, with a release date shortly after.
The LG G6 is shaping up to be an impressive flagship device with a stunning display, powerful performance, and a range of high-end features. With its sleek design and advanced cooling technology, it is sure to be a hit among tech enthusiasts and consumers alike.
