A new teaser trailer has been released this week showing the latest developments being made in the fan made Skywind mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which is currently at version: 0.9.4.8
Skywind is being built to merge the world of the classic Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind game with the enhanced graphics and capabilities of Bethesda’s Skyrim’s engine. Check out the latest footage and graphics from the mod below.
To be able to use the mod gamers will require a copy of both games but the player only actually play Skywind using the newer Skyrim game. Meaning that the user interface, combat, graphics, and system requirements for the Skywind mod are all those of Skyrim, and not from the Morrowind game. Its creator explains :
“Hello once again! I apologize for lack of updates and communication. I have been in the process of moving and have been taking care of other pressing real life stuff (and maybe playing A LOT of Destiny). So thank you everyone for your continued support and patience.
We got a HUGE update for Skywind coming soon, so expect to see more regular video uploads. And as always, don’t forget to leave a comment, like, and subscribe to the official channel of Skywind! If you have questions or concerns, lay ‘em on me and I’ll see if I can help you out.
A short preview of the very early stages of the West Gash region for Skywind. Footage shown here is alpha and is subject to change. This region has been comprised by many different mod authors and new assets are still in the works.”
