Kingston has unveiled a new addition to its solid state disk (SSD) range created for enthusiasts in the form of the HyperX 3K SSD, which is equipped with a SandForce SF-2281 processor.
The new Kingston HyperX 3K SSD has been fitted with a ATA 6 Gb/s interface to provide sequential read throughput of 555 MB/s with write throughput of 510 MB/s.
The Kingston HyperX 3K is available in storage sizes of 90GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities with pricing starting from $140, $170, $340 and $700 respectively. Kingston has also created an upgrade kit with 2.5″ enclosure, screwdriver and cloning software for $10-15 extra.
