A report has been offered up by analytics firm Canaccord Genuity that claims the iPhone is outselling all other smartphones combined on Sprint and AT&T’s networks. The company cites “checks” that conducted with retail locations. I can’t say that I’m surprised by that.
Most people know they can just walk in and buy an iPhone and it will run any app that supports the device. The same can’t be said for the fragmented Android environment. It is very impressive that with a single iPhone Apple is able to sell more smartphones than other devices combined.
There are a huge number of Android devices on the market. There are also some notable Android devices such as the Galaxy S II. It appears that the iPhone still has the mind share of most shoppers.
