We have heard rumors before about how many units of the iPhone 6 Apple have ordered from their suppliers, and now according to a recent report, the company has placed orders for between 70 and 80 million iPhone 6 handsets.
This figure is for both the 4.7 inch version of the iPhone 6 and the 5.5 inch model, both handsets are expected to come with a sapphire glass display.
The order for the 70 to 80 million units of the new iPhone is apparently up until December the 30th, Apple are expected to introduce the new iPhone 6 in September, and the handset is rumored to come with some major updates over the existing iPhone 5S.
We have heard that the new iPhone will come with a higher resolution that the current model, and there have been rumors of a resolution of 1704 x 960 pixels.
We have also heard rumors of a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, so it is possible that the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch models of the iPhone 6 could feature different resolutions.
Apple will introduce their new 64-bit mobile processor with the new iPhone, the Apple A8, which is faster than the existing A7 processor and comes with improved graphics, the handsets are also said to get more RAM than the current iPhone 5S.
The cameras on the iPhone 6 will also be updated, and there are rumors that the 5.5 inch model may get a different camera than the 4.7 inch handset.
We previously heard that Apple will make the new iPhone official at a press event on the 9th of September, the device is said to go on sale on the 19th of September.
