Apple’s fifth generation iPhone, the iPhone 4S has gone on sale in Australia, and according to the Sydney Morning Herald there has been huge demand for the iPhone 4S in Australia with large queues outside Apple stores.
Apple has already reported massive pre-orders of the new iPhone 4S, with over 1 million handsets pre-ordered within the first 24 hours, and first weekend sales of the device are expected to exceed the 3 million mark.

The iPhone 4S features the same design as last years model, the iPhone 4, and it comes with some new hardware which include the same processor that is found inside the iPad 2.
There is also apple’s new voice activated assistant, Siri, plus an 8 megapixel camera which can record full HD video in 1080p, and it will work on both CDMA and GSM networks.
We shall be heading off shortly to join a queue here in the UK in an attempt to get our hands on the new iPhone 4S, and all the mobile phone stores we have spoken to have told us that there has been massive demand for the new iPhone 4S.
