Kids like what they like and there is nothing much that parents or anyone else can do about their favorites. A recent poll form a research firm called Smarty Pants asked parents what their kids’ favorite brands were. Some of the names that made the top spots on the list are no surprise, names like McDonalds and Disney for instance are on the list.
The number one brand might be a bit of a surprise considering we are talking about children, the top brand on the list was the iPad. Apple’s tablet is undeniably popular, and is only one of two products on the top ten of the list. The next product that isn’t a food or video platform is the Xbox at number ten.
Filling out out the top ten, starting with second place, are Hershey’s, Oreo, M&Ms, Doritos, Cheetoes, Coke, Disney, and YouTube. McDonalds is all the way back in 15th spot. I think al lot of the downfall of McDonalds when it comes to kids is that many locations have pulled out their famous playgrounds and aimed at upscale adult business to compete with Starbucks. The survey talked to 6661 children to compile the list.
