Earlier today we told you that Apple CEO Tim Cook published a letter on user privacy on Apple’s website, the company also released iOS 8 yesterday, which brings a new form of encryption to Apple devices.
iOS 8 now comes with a new form on encryption that is designed to keep you data safer, and Apple has designed the new encryption so that even they cannot bypass the security.
“Unlike our competitors, Apple cannot bypass your passcode and therefore cannot access this data,” Apple said on its Web site. “So it’s not technically feasible for us to respond to government warrants for the extraction of this data from devices in their possession running iOS 8.”
The Apple CEO also explained in his letter that Apple have never worked with any government agency, this is something that Apple obviously wants to make clear to people.
Finally, I want to be absolutely clear that we have never worked with any government agency from any country to create a backdoor in any of our products or services. We have also never allowed access to our servers. And we never will.
