Apple has just released the latest beta version of their iOS 6, which is iOS 6 Beta 3, and one of the new features in the latest version of Apple’s iOS is some new iCloud.com email addresses.
When a user signs up to Apple’s iCloud service they get a new me.com email address, this will change when Apple releases iOS 6 and users will get a new iCloud.com email address.
icloud.com email addresses are now available for iCloud mail users. Users signing up for new Apple IDs, or enabling Mail on their iCloud account for the first time, will automatically receive an @icloud.com email address instead of a me.com email address. iCloud users with @me.com addresses that have been used with iOS 6 beta 3 will receive an @icloud.com email address that matches their @me.com
Apple hasn’t said as yet what will happen to existing me.com email addresses, but we suspect they will be transferred over to the new iCloud.com domain, Apple did this previously when they move over from their .Mac services.
