The second beta of iOS 11.2 was released recently and we can now see how the software performs next to the current release in some new iOS 11.2 Beta 2 vs iOS 11.1 videos. In the videos below we get to see the new beta run on a number of different devices.
The videos show iOS 11.2 Beta 2 vs iOS 11.1 being run on the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 7. Is the new iOS 11.2 beta faster than Apple’s current iOS release on a number of different devices. First up is the iPhone 5S.
As we can see from the video the new iOS 11.2 beta boots up faster than the current release of iOS on the iPhone 5S, it also appears to be faster within the apps. Next up is the iPhone 6.
In the iPhone 6 video the handset that booted up the quickest was the one running the iOS 11.2 beta 2, it also appeared faster in some the apps, next up is the iPhone 6S.
The iPhone 6S running iOS 11.2 beta 2 booted up faster than the one running iOS 11.1, it also appears to be slightly faster within the apps. Last up is the iPhone 7.
As with the previous devices the new iOS 11.2 beta 2 booted up faster than iOS 11.1 on the iPhone 7, it also looks like it is quicker within the apps. So it would appear that the new OS will bring some speed improvements to a number of Apple devices, unless there are some major changes to it by the time the final version is released.
