Hyundai has rolled out a giant 70-passenger double-decker bus. The details are impressive. Not only does the fully electric bus not pollute and hauls 70 passengers, but it also has a maximum driving range of 186 miles on a charge.
The bus also claims to be able to charge its battery in 72 minutes. That all sounds pretty fantastic. The bus has dual electric motors with one on the rear axle and rear-wheel steering to make it handle better.
It’s also fitted with spots for wheelchairs and an automatic sliding ramp. There are no hard details on the battery size or exactly how the bus can recharge so quickly. The bus was developed under a project supported by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.
