We have already seen a leaked photo and some press renders of the new HTC One A9 smartphone and now we have another photo of the handset.
The latest photo of the HTC One A9 gives us a much clearer view of the handset and it also confirms some of the specifications we heard about previously.
Display and Performance
The handset will come with a 5 inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, which ensures a crisp and clear viewing experience. This Full HD display is ideal for watching videos, browsing the web, and playing games. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, which is an octa-core chipset designed to handle everyday tasks with ease. Alongside the processor, the HTC One A9 comes with 2GB of RAM, which should be sufficient for multitasking and running most apps smoothly. The device also features an Adreno 405 GPU, which will handle graphics-intensive tasks and gaming.
Storage and Additional Features
Other specifications in HTC’s new smartphone include 16GB of built-in storage, which provides ample space for apps, photos, and videos. For users who need more storage, the HTC One A9 includes a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards, allowing for significant expansion. This is particularly useful for those who store a lot of media on their devices.
One of the standout features of the HTC One A9 is its fingerprint sensor, which adds an extra layer of security and convenience. This sensor allows users to unlock their phone quickly and securely, and can also be used for other functions such as authorizing payments.
The handset will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is one of the latest versions of Google’s mobile operating system. Android 6.0 brings a host of new features and improvements, including better app permissions, improved battery life with Doze mode, and Google Now on Tap, which provides contextual information based on what is on your screen.
Camera Capabilities
In terms of camera capabilities, the HTC One A9 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera that features a BSI sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The BSI sensor helps improve low-light performance, while OIS helps reduce blur caused by camera shake, resulting in clearer and sharper photos. On the front of the device, there is a 4-megapixel Ultrapixel camera, which is designed to capture more light and produce better selfies, even in low-light conditions.
HTC are holding a press event next week on the 29th of September, where we will have more details about the handset. It is expected to launch in October, and we will likely learn more about its pricing and availability at the event.
The HTC One A9 appears to be a well-rounded smartphone that offers a good balance of performance, features, and design. With its sleek build, capable hardware, and the latest software, it could be a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market.
