Yesterday we saw a leaked photo of the new HTC Droid DNA which is headed to Verizon Wireless, and now the device has appeared at the FCC, which should mean that Verizon will be launching the handset shortly.
The HTC Droid DNA is Verizon’s version of the HTC J Butterfly and the handset is expected to come with the same specifications as the HTC J Butterfly.
Specifications and Features
The HTC Droid DNA is expected to come with a 5 inch HD Super LCD 3 display with a 1080p resolution and 440 ppi, which promises to deliver stunning visuals and vibrant colors. The device is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, ensuring smooth performance and efficient multitasking. It also comes with 2GB of RAM, which should be more than sufficient for running multiple applications simultaneously without any lag.
Other specifications on the HTC Droid DNA may include an 8 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 lens, which is designed to capture high-quality photos even in low-light conditions. The camera is expected to support various features such as HDR, panorama, and full HD video recording. On the front, the device may feature a 2.1 megapixel camera, making it ideal for video calls and selfies.
The HTC Droid DNA is expected to run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which offers a smooth and user-friendly interface along with access to a wide range of apps and services through the Google Play Store. The device also features a 2,020 mAh battery, which should provide a decent amount of usage time on a single charge. Additionally, it comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) capabilities, allowing for easy sharing of data and mobile payments.
Design and Build Quality
The design of the HTC Droid DNA is likely to be sleek and modern, with a focus on ergonomics and ease of use. The handset is expected to have a slim profile and a lightweight build, making it comfortable to hold and carry around. The use of high-quality materials in its construction should ensure durability and a premium feel.
The 5 inch display is expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, which is known for its resistance to scratches and minor impacts. This should help in maintaining the pristine condition of the screen over time. The back of the device may feature a textured finish, providing a secure grip and reducing the chances of accidental drops.
In terms of connectivity, the HTC Droid DNA is expected to support 4G LTE, ensuring fast and reliable internet access on the go. It may also come with other standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Overall, the HTC Droid DNA appears to be a well-rounded smartphone that offers a combination of powerful performance, impressive display quality, and a range of useful features. With its imminent launch on Verizon Wireless, it is likely to attract a lot of attention from consumers looking for a high-end Android device.
