Smartphones with improved front-facing cameras are gaining traction. We’ve seen several OEMs pushing the limits with the front-facing cameras, and it seems HTC is preparing a selfie-focused handset for its users as well.
Recently, @upleaks revealed that HTC’s Desire Eye will come with an impressive 13MP front-facing cameras which will definitely raise the bars for front-facing cameras, if it’s real.
The leaker further shared some information about what the handset could bring at the top. On the front, there’s a 5.2-inch sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz. There’s 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, but he didn’t mention if the device will support expandable memory.
The alleged HTC Desire Eye is also said to come with a 2,400 mAh removable battery, and IPX7 certification which makes the handset water resistant. Last but not the least, it will come an unknown version of Android (possibly KitKat) with Sense 6 UI on top of it.
There’s no word about the availability or pricing of the device, but we’ll update you as soon as any other information comes up about the device. Until then, take it with a pinch of salt since HTC hasn’t confirmed anything about the handset.
