Honda has announced a new electric vehicle (EV) charger, the Honda HEH55, which is designed to be installed on the wall and is powered by solar power.
The HEH55 is designed for easy installation, with no need for groundwork. This means it is cheaper and more cost-effective to install.
The Honda HEH55 can either be hooked up to the mains or can be linked to a solar power generating system, and charging can be controlled in accordance with the amount of electric power generated via the solar charging.
It can also be used in the event of a power cut, as the power generated from the solar charging is stored in the unit. It will be shown off later this month at the 6th International Automotive Electronics Technology Expo.
