The High-Powered Electromagnetic System from Eureka Aerospace is a new invention that can stop any vehicle in its tracks. The device uses a tunable power source and an antenna to beam microwave energy in the direction of a vehicle that must be stopped.
For the device to work properly it must be in a range of at least 300 feet of the vehicle and the energy beam must rest on the vehicle for at least a few seconds.
The High-Powered Electromagnetic System works as an EMP and sends a disabling current into the control and ignition systems of a vehicle. The device was especially created to put an end to high-speed police chases and potentially neutralize the detonation of IEDs or other explosives. The High-Powered Electromagnetic System could change law enforcement tactics and potentially change criminal behavior.
The High-Powered Electromagnetic System will be perfect for police and federal departments that need to stop an escaping criminal. The United States Marine Corps may also potentially use the device in the future. By stopping high-speed chases, police departments can minimize deaths and the collateral damage that normally occurs from car chases.
The High-Powered Electromagnetic System is portable, cost effective, and the microwave energy that it emits is not affected by terrain or weather. The device will work on a ground vehicle, boat, or helicopter. Eureka Aerospace hopes to have a working prototype of the device available for a sheriff’s department by summer.
