It has been reported today that Dyson well known for its innovative vacuum cleaner designs is currently working on a new innovation called the Hairblade which is a silent hairdryer.
As most of you will already know a typical hairdryer makes quite some noise when in use making it pretty much impossible to have any sort of vocal communication with the user whilst they are drying their hair.
Dyson is now looking to change this age-old problem and create a hairdryer that will still be as powerfully to dry your hair but create none of the noise. The new patent applications which have been filed by the Dyson engineering team and company have revealed what the new Hairblade Dyson silent hairdryer design might look like.
Within the patent documents the engineers at Dyson claim they can increase the flow of air from a smaller fan by using a network of ducts and tubes in the handle of the device. Together with a variety of materials to provide soundproofing and reduce the vibration caused by the fan.
However as expected when contacted about the new patent, Dyson was keeping quiet on the new Hairblade device and has not announced any launch date, price or even whether the silent hairdryer is even in development. But as soon as more information is announced or leaked we will keep you posted.
