It has been a couple of weeks now since GoPro went official with its new HERO3 action cameras. The new camera is significantly smaller and lighter than the original cameras and adds in some interesting new features such as Wi-Fi. Back when the cameras were originally unveiled, they were expected to ship in the middle of November.
GoPro announced this week that the HERO3 camera in three different versions is now shipping globally. The top end version of the camera is the HERO3: Black Edition selling for $399.99. The camera has integrated Wi-Fi and comes with a Wi-Fi Remote accessory allowing you to turn the camera on and off, and stop and start recording.
The Silver Edition also has integrated Wi-Fi and supports 11 megapixel pictures and up to 1080p resolution video for $299.99. The entry-level version of the camera is the White Edition offering five megapixel photos, up to 1080p full HD video, and integrated Wi-Fi selling for $199.99.
