If you enjoy Google Books a new Windows desktop application GooReader has been released to help you download and search in a little more style, rather than use the simple Google Books interface. View the short demo video after the break.
GooReader is similar in appearance to Apple books on the iPad. It allows you to view covers and search the extensive Google Books database downloading anything of interest as long as its not protected.
Once download you can view your books by turning pages, provided by a nice smooth animation rather than the normal vertical scrolling by Google.
GooReader also comes in a premium version for $20 that enhances further the search facility and provides additional features that allow you to save and create PDF’s.
