We have been hearing rumors that Google would be holding a press event on the 4th of October to announce their new Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

Earlier today we saw some photos of the new Pixel and Pixel XL handsets, the two devices will replace Google’s Nexus range of smartphones.
Specifications and Features
The Pixel will come with a 5 inch display and a Snapdragon 821 processor, the handset will also come with 4GB of RAM. The Pixel XL will come with a 5.5 inch display and will also feature a Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM. Both devices are expected to offer high-resolution displays, with the Pixel likely featuring a Full HD resolution and the Pixel XL boasting a Quad HD resolution.
In addition to the powerful processors and ample RAM, both smartphones are rumored to include high-quality cameras. The Pixel and Pixel XL are expected to feature 12-megapixel rear cameras with advanced image processing capabilities, as well as 8-megapixel front-facing cameras for selfies and video calls.
